I was having a discussion with my former strength coach at Hammond High School, about how to stay fit. Thought I would share key points
Chauncey- What types of things keep you in shape?
Coach Bill Robinson- I try to eat the right things as well as have three square meals a day. Staying active is the key, whether you take the stairs instead of the elevator or walk down the street to the store instead of driving, little things.
C - So i can assume that you don’t eat out much?
CBR- I try to stay away from fast food but other than that i will go out for the occasional meal at restaurant. Many restaurants have alternative meals or different options based on nutrition.
C- Do you exercise?
CBR yes i work out about 2-3 times in a week
C And if u dont mind do you maintain a steady weight
CBR yes if i gain its because lifting and building muscle
C- what advise could you give to somebody trying to get in shape?
CBR- Create a regiment and stick to it,the internet is a wonderful resource if you dont know where to start. See what works for you and be consistent.
